Méderi

We have been inspired by the meaning that comes from the Latin, mederi, to name our company of Food Supplements within and under the protection of Integrative Nutrition.

Mederi, among other meanings, means to care for. We must remember the importance of the science dedicated to the study of life and how vital it is to have a varied and balanced diet, as well as a healthy lifestyle, which implies the art of exercising such technical knowledge for the maintenance of health, since health and illness are two sides of the same coin and there is something obvious in this meaning: if an individual is healthy, he/she cannot be ill and vice versa.

On the other hand, the iterative of medeor (mederi), is meditor, from which comes the word meditate and meditation. Therefore, in Méderi, we reflect and become aware of the importance of our products in improving the quality of life of people.

Following the common thread of the Indo-European root, we can see that besides calming, caring and meditating, med– also means “to measure”. The science that studies life is thus a reflective, thinking, judging measurement. The Latin judex, “the judge”, becomes the Latinised oschus meddix (originally meddiss), from the same root med-.

Our mission is to provide food supplements so that, in an integrative way, we can complement and replenish the necessary nutrients to improve and enhance health and prevent disease. All this thinking in the individual, in his/her physical, psychological and spiritual aspect, contributing the formulation of products to the highest level of quality, innovation and scientific endorsement.
